2024 Corrales Tractor & Auto Show

The annual Corrales Tractor and Auto show has become a very popular event for NMCA. Besides the peaceful setting in rural Corrales, this show is conducted on lush, cool green grass. 150+ farm tractors and desirable automobiles provided the public with a relaxing way to spend some time reviewing the displays, grab a bite to eat and listening to excellent music.

This year, however, an unexpected twist. The Thursday before the show, Corrales received a fair amount of rain (normally a welcome situation), but the folks in charge of maintaining this open space decided at the last second that the field was too wet, and cars/tractors would rut the field. For 15 minutes the entire even weas cancelled, but after many discussions, the folks in charge of maintaining the field agreed to allow cars only along 3 sides of the perimeter, up against the fence line. While welcome news, there were more cars than space. Luckily, Keith Vigil, NMCA member, had been hired to be the DJ for this event. So he had arrived early and when the decision was made to allow a certain amount of cars onto the field, Keith "reserved" space for NMCA Corvettes. Unlike previous years, this year NMCA only had 7 vehicles, plus Keith's Corvette. And as luck would have it - the "reserved" space was large enough - for 7 more vehicles.

Somewhat unusual for a last minute re-boot of an event, which somehow accommodated all the NMCA Corvettes. A huge shout-out to Keith for his direct input as organizers came to their decision. Food trucks and tractors were still on display, but removed from the grassy field and parked in what was to be public parking immediately adjacent to the grass field.

Take a moment to check out the photo collection from this event (sparse as it may be) - simply navigate to the "Photos" section of this website.

And a special nod to all the members who took time from their busy schedules to join the group and show off their shiny Corvettes on a wonderful Saturday in Corrales.
