2023 Corvette Z06 Seen Shooting Video

The 2023 Corvette Z06 has been spotted shooting a new video at a racetrack with a Porsche Cayenne camera vehicle in tow.

This short clip shows a 2023 Corvette Z06 driving at Barber Motorsports Park in Mobile, Alabama, which is a regular stop on the NTT IndyCar Series calendar. Behind the Z06 is a matte-black painted Porsche Cayenne Turbo camera vehicle - a popular choice in the world of filmmaking thanks to its combination of utility and performance.

It seems likely Chevy was at Barber filming a new commercial or some type of marketing material for the 2023 Corvette Z06 ahead of its launch next year. It doesn't seem likely that any other entity apart from Chevy would be filming the Z06 at this time, as full series production will not begin until next summer.

This Corvette Z06 is finished in the Accelerate Yellow exterior color and features the available Z07 Performance Package, as well. The Z07 pack includes larger, carbon-ceramic brakes, stickier Michelin Sport Cup 2 R ZP rubber, FE7 suspension with specially tuned Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 dampers, and available carbon fiber wheels. All Z07-equipped models also receive a full carbon fiber aerodynamics package with a larger front splitter, front-corner dive planes, a rear wing and an underbody strake.

Power in the Corvette Z06, as a reminder, comes from a naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 LT6 rated at 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. It will be built alongside the standard 2023 Corvette Stingray at the GM Bowling Green Assembly facility in Kentucky. Production of the 2023 Corvette will begin on Monday, May 9th, 2022, as GM Authority reported previously, however it's currently unclear if this date will mark the start of production for the Corvette Stingray or Corvette Z06.
