C8 Z06 vs C8 Stingray Interior Differences

The 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 offers a host of go-faster goodness for the mid-engine, eighth-generation Chevy Corvette. To complement the newfound speed stuff, the 2023 Z06 also comes with a selection of visual cues that differentiate it from the C8 Corvette Stingray, both inside and our. GM Authority has already covered the exterior differences between the C8 Corvette Z06 and C8 Corvette Stingray, so now, we're examining the interior differences.

On the surface, there are numerous similarities between the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 interior and the C8 Corvette Stingray interior, with both offering a two-seater layout, driver-centric design, large central control panel, and digital instrumentation. However, there's also a few differences worth mentioning.

These start with the optional carbon fiber-wrapped steering wheel, as well as carbon fiber shift paddles and the new carbon fiber interior trim package level 2. Additionally, the 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 features a new Adrenaline Red Dipped interior color way, which replaces the Morello Red Dipped color way. In total, the 2023 Corvette Z06 offers seven interior color schemes, three seat choices, and two interior seat choices. Critically, the new Z06 also offers a new Stealth Aluminum trim option, plus select Z06 badging here and there.

Under the skin, the C8 Corvette Z06 and C8 Corvette Stingray both run the the same mid-engine Y2 platform. However, behind the cabin, the engine spec is completely different, with the Z06 equipped with the naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 LT6 gasoline engine, which produces 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and the Stingray equipped with the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine, which produces 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque.

Both the C8 Corvette Z06 and the C8 Corvette Stingray are produced at the GM Bowling Green Assembly facility in Kentucky. The C8 Corvette Stingray is on sale now, while the C8 Corvette Z06 is scheduled to go on sale in 2022 for the 2023 model year.

The Chevy Corvette recorded its first win at the Puerto Rico Grand Prix. Readied for competition in the 1963 Daytona Continental and Sebring 12 Hours endurance races, Gulf One was first in class at Daytona, and finished third overall. It took first place overall at the SCCA Presidents Cup and in A/Production at Road America and Danville, Virginia.
