NMCA Shares - My First Corvette

Growing up I had a love for cool cars. My first car was a 1959 Chevrolet and then I got a 1965 GTO right after High School, which I kept until going to Vietnam in 1967. I always liked and wanted to get a Corvette.

My 1st Corvette was a 1971 with a 454 V8 engine that I purchased in 1976. As soon as I got it, I decided to clean the engine and detail the car (being a previous Hot Rodder). Not knowing a lot about Corvettes, I first thought someone had painted the engine heads silver, but discovered they were aluminum. After being told by a Corvette friend "you have an LS6". Boy was I surprised and excited about finding out what an LS6 is. Sadly, I wish that I had kept that Corvette. Today my wife Roz and I have a 2010 Corvette Grand Sport Convertible which we enjoy. To date I've had 3 Corvettes.
