C8 Convertible Design Flaw

GM doesn't say whether the affected 2023 Corvette cars are 2023 Chevy Corvette Stingray units, The C8 Corvette Convertible presents a striking exterior design, with sharp lines, aggressive attitude, and sexy mid-engine proportions. However, beyond the looks, there are a few things about the C8 Corvette Convertible that could be considered a bit "off." Now, one C8 Corvette owner is demonstrating exactly that in the following brief video.

Recently hitting Instagram via Corvette Club (@corvetteclub_), the video shows a C8 Corvette Convertible after it has sat out in the rain. The owner walks up to the rear of the vehicle and shows us the rear engine panel just behind the cabin, located in the valley between the two opposing "nacelles" that run from the roof down to the rear engine lid. As we can see in the video, a good amount of water has collected around between the nacelles, clearly the result of a low point in the body panels.

"If I don't ever move my car this water gonna sit on here for days," the owner states in the video. "That's stupid."

Indeed, there does appear to be quite a bit of standing water around the rear of the vehicle, which is something that is sure to annoy just about any owner. While some folks in the comments section question why the owner doesn't simply park their C8 Corvette Convertible in a garage, it goes without saying that a covered parking spot isn't always an option.
