NMCA Celebrates The Chinese New Year

Saturday evening February 9th, 20 members/guests of NMCA gathered at the Albuquerque Chinatown restaurant on Central, to celebrate the Year of the Rat. Companions were wonderful and the eats were an interesting combination of traditional Chinese dishes usually reserved for special occasions. Dinner was followed by a traditional Chinese New Year dance of the Lions. The group performing this special dance danced their hearts out and were very entertaining.

In addition, member Steve Hopkins graciously made all members a permanent name tag which you can pick up as you come in the door at the General meeting (and return after each meeting please). Everyone agreed that having the name of the person you are speaking with is extremely helpful in getting to know each other better.

We hope to see more NMCA members partake of all the fun and exciting events coming up this year. You don't know what you're missing by not coming out to see what we have in store. It's a fantastic way to get to know other Club members. See you all at the next General meeting, February 15th.
