A Warning
Thieves are stealing license plates, using them when they get gas
then drive off without paying. Your license plate is the one reported by
the clerk. Apparently this practice is on the increase, and you may not be
aware of the situation until a knock comes on the door from a police officer.
If you find your plate is missing, report it immediately. While most stations
require payment via credit card or cash-in-advance, apparently there are still
stations that allow cars to pump, then pay.
