Myth vs Fact - 2006 Z06 Production
Myth: at least half of the 2006 Z06's produced went overseas, making the
supply within the US extremely limited.
Fact: there were 6,500 Z06's produced for the 2006 model year.
1,500 went overseas and to Canada, with 5,000 remaining for the US market.
While attending the 2006 Vettes On The Rockies event in July, I had an
opportunity to speak directly with two senior production and marketing
executives from the GM Corvette division. They both verified the above
numbers, and indicated that the US market would always receive the
overwhelming majority of Corvettes and Z06's produced each year.
